In the name of the Father and of the +Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

In the beginning God spoke all things into existence. His Word did what it said (Genesis 1:3, 6-7, 9, 11, 14-15, 20-21, 24, etc.). For His Word is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). The scalpel that cuts into your soul dissecting the secret thoughts of your heart (Hebrews 4:12) and creating faith (Romans 10:13-17) where before His Word came there was none.

In the beginning God spoke all things into existence. His word created and defined what is. His word determines the length, breadth, and shape of things. He, His mind, the words He speaks forth define and are reality. Not you. Not your words. The Creator’s words create reality. Your own mind and the explanations you construct for yourself might define the mental world you live in. They might give you a framework that you use to interpret everything through. They might cause you to filter out details your can't explain or don't want to deal with. And like so many of us who live in our own world's, we are lying to ourselves. Your words don’t define truth. His words do. For His word created all things. His word continues to sustain all things.

“Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” That’s true isn’t it? We look for signs, wonders, things that tell us our faith isn’t in vain, things that tell us a church is good. While the signs we look for may be different from one generation to another we still look for them don’t we?
